Indoor Shooting

Introduction to Indoor Shooting

The Rifle and Pistol Club caters for all ages, ladies are most welcome, we have full disabled facilities. All juniors (under 18) must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Our cosy clubhouse has central heating with heating also on the range. We have an on site toilet with wheel chair access.

The range is available four times a week, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

We shoot .22 rim fire rifle, prone position only at a distance of 25 yds. In this discipline we are competing in Yorkshire, Leeds and Sheffield leagues. We will be entering the Eley postal competition.

We also use air rifle and air pistol .177 calibre at 10 metres and 20 yards including the Bench Rest discipline, there is also electrically controlled targets and can accommodate five members shooting at the same time.

We are competing in Yorkshire and Leeds leagues and have various in-house competitions. Shooting air weapons is possible on the outdoor range providing the weather permits. I must stress that we only shoot targets; it is a target shooting club.
